Our Technology
At Village Dental Centre in Lakefield, we are committed to providing our patients with the best quality care possible and this means staying up to date with technological advancements in a relaxing environment. Learn more about some of the tools used in our office and how they make your visit a stress-free dental visit.

INTRAORAL CAMERA
Our intraoral camera is an advanced diagnostic equipment that allows you and the dentist to see inside your mouth. The handheld camera can zoom in on a specific tooth, and all of the images are displayed on a television screen so you can be an active part of your treatment.
DIGITAL X-RAYS
During a digital X-ray, a small sensor is placed inside your mouth, instead of the traditional paper tabs that fit awkwardly and often cause pain and discomfort. The sensor is connected to a computer by a thin, unobtrusive wire and records a highly detailed image of your mouth. The image is then sent to the computer, where it is instantly projected onto a screen for or team of professionals to review.

THE WAND – COMPUTER-CONTROLLED ANESTHESIA
The Want anesthesia is delivered through a syringe-free wand or pen-like device that is connected to a computer. The computer delivers a small amount of anesthetic so that the insertion site starts going numb right away. It allows for comfortable, often pain-free local anesthesia.

AIR ABRASION
Air abrasion safely removes decay from a tooth without using a traditional dental drill. The handpiece uses a powerful air stream of tiny particles of aluminum oxide to painlessly remove tooth decay.
At Village Dental Centre, we regularly upgrade our equipment because we know that advanced equipment ensures more accurate assessments, which means a better solution for your dental needs.
